Win the chance to cook with a professional chef and OXO kitchen essentials set

GOOD home cooking and passing on recipes to your friends and family is very much in vogue. That’s why Essex Life has teamed up with The New Smart School of Cookery and kitchen expert OXO to offer six lucky readers a half-day cookery class* with Hells Kitchen chef, Stein Smart and a set of OXO kitchen essentials.

The cookery sessions will be held at The New Smart School of Cookery & Cookshop in Danbury.

The six lucky winners will be able to watch Stein cook, learn some recipes and then have a go themselves before sampling the delicious food and fine wines on offer.

Winners will also receive a package of OXO kitchen essentials to help them prepare some of the lovely recipes they will learn at the school, including peelers, spatulas and angled measuring cups.

The idea for The Smart School of Cookery was hatched when Danbury’s Ann Hood and Stein met at a Novelli cooking day. Since then the school has gone from strength to strength. It now offer private chef services, corporate entertainment and corporate team building through the re-enactment of Hell’s Kitchen.

It also holds regular courses for children and young people going to university, as well as demonstration classes for up to eight people in Danbury. These hands-on classes mean that you work closely with Stein and leave inspired. OXO focuses on creating tools to make everyday living easier.
